Time check: 2 a.m. on supposedly 'the-day-that-the-world-ends'. Still awake.
So, I'm back in Singapore now.
It doesn't feel any different to me.
My trip back was great though: I was so happy to see my dad again and it feels really good to catch up on each others' lives. I tried to treasure and remember every moment possible, because a week's worth of quality time is worth the months of physical distance between us (sappy I
know). But it was well worth the trip :')
And I finally saw the new maroon Suzuki that dad had bought 5 months ago. It's beeeee-you-teee-fooo and I love it. I can't wait to drive it but at the same time I don't wanna risk it getting smashed/scratched/dented because of my amateur (maybe not even anymore now since I hadn't practiced in a year) driving skill. The older one drove twice while we were out on our Bandung trip, and fearing for my life (ha) I was wide awake for both times. Turns out he'd got pretty good at driving, already better than me.
And did I mention that I ate a lot? Like a sinful load of good Indonesian fare stuffed in my mouth down my tummy the past week. SO GUILTY I tell you. The weeks of jogging pre-Indo obviously helped but then it was neutralised by all the eating sigh sigh sigh. I'm gonna be up for a run first thing later this morning.
Hmm what else? Ah I got a new haircut. Decided that my long fringe was too much to bear and so I had it snipped mid-length. Then I also got the whole head fixed by chopping off 3 cm of hair. I'd truly madly deeply loved it but both my bros didn't approve of it boohoo the older one was like "you got cut your hair meh?" and the younger went "you shouldn't have cut your hair" and so I was depressed until I took a good look at my own hair and decided that it's mine so if I say it looks good then it does ha ha suck it you two.
Ah funny how I almost didn't do any shopping at all this trip. Even both while in Bandung (where there are tons of factory outlets there) and Mangga Dua (the clothes are sooooo Bugis-y now) and I regret it, well to a certain extent. Did absolutely zero Christmas shopping o my. I feel guilty now sigh sigh o well.
OH and did I tell you I watched a football match with the older one. It was the Man U vs Sunderland one and I stayed to watch for the last hour coz I can't get to sleep ha ha I can't believe I did it. And truth be told it was pretty interesting. Learnt a few things about the game and the players from the bro. van Persie is sooooooooo good looking o my I can't believe that my bro said he's thirty and married with kids. Meh I may watch football again just to see him play ngaw ha ha ha.
Bah I guess that's all that my brain can fart out in the wee hours of the morning. Me and my disjointed thoughts.
Ah so much mixed feelings now.
Maybe it's true that nothing good happens after two.
Hmm gonna have a good rest tonight.
Wait did the bro just asked me if I wanted to watch a replay of the Man U vs Man City match?
