(Almost) languishing

The term break is here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Words are definitely not enough to describe my sheer joy and comfort when I know and I know and I know that the holidays have befallen upon me. Thank God for this break away from the daily painful grind of waking at 0530 every single morning and stepping out of the house while it is still night sigh I am just so grateful. At this moment where it's 10 minutes into the new day and new week, being able to sleep at any point from now makes me feel completely guilt-free because a) I know I wouldn't have to wake up grumpily to the roaring of the alarm and b) feel like I didn't sleep at all that night. Oh the wonders that holidays bring.

True enough, the past weeks have been both exhilarating and tiresome simultaneously. But more than that thank God for bringing me through every day of school and life in general. Every day is not just a routine but it's a new day. I really couldn't have done it without His strength!!

There's been a lot of birthday celebrations/outings/dinners going on and it's really exciting. School, as much as it is stressful now that I'm in Garde Manger, is just as fun too!

Sample A of the many buffets that us kids at the Asian Kitchen (almost) always have every day after operations. Other than the leftover dishes from the day, we also accepted food from Garde Manger and kope-d food Top Table ha ha ha it was a lottt of fun in there.

2 dinners on the same day because 1) Komala Villas is a Indian vegetarian restaurant and we didn't exactly eat, just you know, taste food ha ha 2) Teochew porridge is a better option hahaha this was a super chill night mmhmm

First 2 weeks of Ops @ Asian Kitchen, done! It's been a week since that time and I miss the kitchen and Chef Pang so much hais all the jokes and lessons learnt there are truly memorable.

My first experience eating bak kut teh and it was really reaaaaaally good. I don't usually eat pork but after this I think I am now a convert ha ha. All credits to JY for bringing us here!! 

Greenie cupcakes for Bettina's birthday!! The entire process of getting the ingredients to decorating them was hilarious yet therapeutic. Also proof that my friends have amazing creativity hahaha ahem Justyn JJ Jingles

Buffet dinner spread at Bettina's which was a whole lot of fun from eating to Jenga to chillin' to Teoheng till 2am!

Sushi buffet dinner for le Wira's 14th birthday wooo ate till we almost exploded hahaha but it was such an enjoyable day because 1) I ended school earlier than expected 2) shopping for the 2 brosies at H&M was actually really fun (I was running around the men's section to get their size) 3) I bought a cheesecake from Starbucks without being given a candle (coz they didn't have it) but that's okay 4) WE. CABBED. HOME.

First experience at Nakhon and it was great I love love love Thai food coz everything's spicy hahaha and that ba zhang looking dish where it's actually chicken in it instead of real ba zhang mmmm

Garde Manger foods this past week! From salads to sandwiches to smoked foods to canapes to appertisers to a whole lot of good food. Also featuring Chef Ken and his witty poses hahaha. I may or may not have gained weight since Culi Prac started hais this is terrible :p

And I completed and have since graduated from BMT!!!!!!!!!!!!! It had been a great journey and time had flown so fast during the period of time. Am truly very excited to serve in God's house!!!

And again, FL7's surprise for the lil' bro awwsies these boys are so loved la hehehe. 

Sundays are truly the best days.

Aaaand I'm off to bed because though it's the holidays there are errands to run before I get up and ready to fly to Cambodia this Thursday!! So bumped coz I'll be missing out on a great message by Ps How this coming Sunday but then again it's a much anticipated trip!! Model example of not being able to have the best of both worlds oh well.
