Gratitude and everything else that comes with it

Today opened my eyes and taught me what true gratefulness is. I have never been so full of thanks in my years of existence.

First, a huge thank you to Lord Jesus Christ for finding me; picking me up from the pit of hell, dusting the sins of the world off me, and hiding me under Your wings with your tenderness, love and care. Thank You for your abundant blessings in my life.

Thank You for giving me earthly parents who supported me through and through, I thank them for praying and interceding for me unceasingly while I immerse myself in revision for the big Os in 2011.

Thank You for giving me friends who stuck with me through the thick and thin, rain or shine, good or bad; who encouraged me and helped to lift my spirit up.

Thank You for blessing me with wonderful teachers, each and everyone of them, they spurred me on when I'm disappointed with my unsatisfactory results, coached me and guided me till the very end.

Thank You for the 12 points, though it wasn't what I expected, but I believe that You gave me the results for a reason. I thank You for the vast improvement I have made since Prelims, jumping 4 or even 5 grades up to achieving my As and Bs.

Thank You for sparking a raging interest in my heart for cooking and baking. I thank You that with what results You have given me, I can and will successfully make it into the school and the course of my desire.

There are simply too many things to be grateful for. A month ago I have no idea on what I want for my tertiary education;I'd also never thought that I will set my heart and mind to focus on culinary but I now do. I have almost zero experience in kitchen-related activities (besides cleaning the dishes) but I am very willing to learn, no matter how tough it may be. I have locked in my choice to go to TP and pursue what I want. Never mind the naysayers who tried to cast gloom and diss on the school. Good schools don't guarantee good results, and it is likewise for the opposite.

So... Culinary and Catering Management, here I come!
